Paper Bags in Highland Park

About a year ago, we teamed up with Sustainable Highland Park to create an ordinance to make all plastic bags in Highland Park ten cents. That ordinance then evolved into plastic bags being totally eliminated. Around four months ago, we made a new ordinance to replace plastic bags with paper ones. Now we have paper bags in every HP store for ten cents. This will motivate consumers to bring their own reusable bags when shopping so they don't have to pay for a paper one! We encourage you to always keep reusable bags in your car so when you go shopping you’ll always have them!
