Organic Home Garden
Plastic~Free Town founder Andrew found an inexpensive way to get healthy, delicious produce. This means visiting the supermarket infrequently and not having to buy products treated with pesticides. He did this by starting his own garden.
Andrew is growing a variety of vegetables and fruits that he will be able to harvest and enjoy in the coming months. In his garden, there are zucchini, squash, potatoes, peanuts, blueberries, peppers, eggplants, lettuce, green beans, peas, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
It’s easy to start your own garden. All you need is a sunny area with moist soil in your front or backyard, a shovel, seeds, and some water. If you don’t have a yard, there are community gardens such as the Good Earth Community Garden in Donaldson Park you can join and use.
