Biden's Environmental Policies So Far
President Joe Biden has gotten a lot done during his few weeks in office, including many goals and executive orders in regards to environmental issues.
Biden's executive orders include temporarily prohibiting oil and gas activity in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and pausing new oil and natural gas leases on public lands or in offshore water. The Keystone XL Pipeline will be revoked, and the U.S. is rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement.
Climate change is set as a key consideration for U.S. national security and foreign policy, and a National Climate Task Force will be established. Some goals are to make the electricity sector carbon pollution-free by 2035 and replace the federal government's fleet of automobiles with zero-emission vehicles.
Be sure to educate yourself on politicians' views on the environment. Keep this information in mind and vote whenever possible. Biden's election shows that every vote really does make a difference.
